A series of Shoulder & Elbow conclaves from 2003 involving top foreign shoulder surgeons such as Prof. Simon Frostick, Liverpool, UK, Peter Campbell Perth, Australia, Chris Sinopidis, Liverpool, UK, Jo Gibson Liverpool, UK, Vinay Takwale, UK,Prof. H Sugaya, Chiba Tokyo.
Organising Secretary of the 28th Annual Indian Association of Sports Medicine 2006 conference in Pune – 26th to 29th October 2006. Ten foreign faculty members and 20 National faculty members. Unprecedented six Pre conference workshops were organised simultaneously.

I regularly train physiotherapists to educate them on the principles of PSRP and am director of the physiotherapy shoulder fellowship at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital – this is a certificate course for physiotherapists. Up until now 26 physiotherapists have been certified. Physiotherapists have attended from Chennai, Calcutta, Belgaum (Karnataka) & Ahmedabad and Ahmednagar,Mumbai, Kolkotta, Jabalpur, Ahmednagar, Kerala etc.
Fellowship
My special interest consists of Shoulder & Upper Limb surgery. I deal with all shoulder problems & their surgical repair – for recurrent dislocation of shoulder, painful & stiff shoulders and Joint replacement surgery of the hip, knee, shoulder & Elbow. Off late I have built a series of Neglected Posterior Dislocation shoulders, Suprascapular neuropathy, Elbow and ankle arthroscopy surgeries. On an average I perform over 250 Shoulder arthroscopies annually.
My special interest is also in rehabilitation for painful shoulder. A Two phase shoulder exercise programme which I have designed & named as PSRP – PUNE SHOULDER REHABILITATION PROGRAMME.

Social Cause
I perform several free surgeries every year for deserving patients. Also jointly run “Pune Shoulder Service” to conduct conferences every year hosting famous international surgeons, who operate & deliver guest lectures to educate the young Orthopaedic surgeons, wishing to keep abreast of cutting edge technology & science. Free surgeries are conducted on economically deprived patients.
